Comments from the informational meeting may result in changes to the proposed service routes and times.  The final recommendations will be made available to the public on February 17, 2017, at the GTC.

Elimination of Night Route 7 and Replacement with Route 4 in Evening:  The proposed changes would eliminate Night Route 7 and replace it with Route 4, running the same hours until 11:15 pm, Monday through Saturday.  The changes would increase the geographic coverage in north Moorhead during the evening hours and provide service to the Clay County Family Service Center and Dilworth Walmart.  Elimination of Route 7 would remove service to Hornbacher’s and MSUM; however, Night Route 8 would be changed to provide service to these locations.

Route 4 would operate on the same streets as it travels during the day (with minor changes noted below).  Route 4 is a 60-minute route and two buses would be placed out at night for 30-minute frequency.  Route 4 would be interlined with Route 8 for a one-seat ride at night.  Route 4 travels from downtown to the Clay County Family Service Center, Churches United for the Homeless, Target, Walmart, CashWise, north to 15 Ave, by the Moorhead Center Mall and to the Ground Transportation Center.

Changes to Route 4:  The proposed changes to Route 4 would shift service from 20 St N to 17 St N between 7 Ave and 13 Ave.  This change was recommended by the five-year Transit Development Plan to provide bus service within a one-quarter mile walking distance of more homes.

Changes to Route 5:  The proposed changes to Route 5 would make permanent the current temporary detour implemented during the reconstruction of 8 St near Interstate 94, as well as the changes near the Minnesota State Community and Technical Institute (M|State).

The area south of I-94 that would be affected is between Belsly Blvd and 37 Ave S from 8 St to 11 St.  The proposed route change would travel from 9 St S and Belsly Blvd, east on Belsly Blvd to 10 St, south on 10 St to 34 Ave, east on 34 Ave to 11 St, south on 11 St to 37 Ave, then continue on the current route.

The affected area by M|State would be inbound to the Marriott Transfer Hub from 20 St S to 14 St S between 28 Ave and 24 Ave.  The proposed route change would travel from 30 Ave and 20 St S, north on 20 St S to 24 Av, west on 24 Ave to the entrance of M|State, through the M|State Parking Lot to Door N3, then back to 24 Ave, then west to 14 St and then continue on the current route.

Changes to Route 8:  The proposed changes to Night Route 8 would remove service from 8 St S between Main Ave and 6 Ave, and on 6 Ave S from 8 St to 11 St.  The proposed route would travel outbound from the Ground Transportation Center in downtown Fargo on Main Ave to 10 St, south to 2 Ave, then east on 2 Ave by Hornbacher’s, then south on 11 St to 6 Ave, then east on 6 Ave to 14 St and the MSUM Union.  Route 8 then would continue on its normal route serving south Moorhead, Family Fare and Concordia College.
