At 6:02 PM, Moorhead officers were called to the scene of a possible stabbing at 903 18th St S. The first officers on scene found a male victim that needed medical attention and he was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Two occupants of the suspected apartment were taken into custody on suspicion of the felony assault. Through investigative work on scene, interviews with the potential suspects and the medical information from the victim, officers determined that no felony assault occurred. The occupants of the apartment and the person taken to the hospital had been mutual combatants and both parties received minor injuries. No weapons were used in the fight. Charges for assault in the fifth degree are being considered. There is no danger to the public as all participants are acquaintances.
