Travel impacts as of August 9, 2018:

Lane Closure of 34 St S from 4 Av S to 12 Av S

The northbound lanes of 34 St S will reopen today at 6:00 p.m.

Lane Closure – Right lane heading northbound 21 St from railroad tracks at SE Main Av Intersection to 4 Av S

Watermain relocation underway on the east side of 21 St, north of the railroad tracks

Road Closure at 22 St S and 4 Av S from 21 St to 22 St S

Underground utility work underway

Construction Progress: 

Ames continues to install new watermain north of 4 Av along 22 St. On 4 Av, road, sidewalk, and tree removal operations continue along with watermain installation and sanitary sewer operations. Tree removal operations are underway north of the high school parking lot and south of 1 Av.

Looking ahead:

Watermain operations will continue along 22 St. Once installed, Ames will begin installation of the forcemain for the storm sewer. Removal operations will continue along 21 St north of 4 Av and north of the high school. A temporary signal is being installed at 4 Av and 34 St.
