MATBUS – Get Your ‘Can’ on the Bus

Celebrate Earth Week with MATBUS and Get Your “Can” on the Bus from Monday, April 22 to Saturday, April 27. You can ride MATBUS fixed route for free when you recycle one empty aluminum can on the bus. At the end of the week, all collected cans will be recycled, with the proceeds donated to the Homeward Animal Shelter. 

21st Annual Waste Transformation Art Exhibition through April 27

Artists’ Reception Tuesday, April 23 from 5 pm - 6:30 pm.

The Clay County Solid Waste Management Transformation Art Exhibition showcases crafts and art projects made from materials that would otherwise enter the waste stream.

Exhibits will be displayed at the Moorhead Library. Past exhibits include beautiful rugs and quilts made from leftover textiles and old clothing, fantastic collages made using everyday trash, extraordinary sculptures made from used barbed wire, unique knick-knacks made from jars and textiles, and welded art made from metal scraps.

MSUM Earth Day Festival

The City of Moorhead will have a booth at the MSUM Earth Day Festival on Tuesday, April 23 from 3-6 pm on the campus mall. The booth will be providing information about Moorhead's Green Step City Initiative.
