Third Ward Moorhead City Council Member Joel Paulsen and Fourth Ward Moorhead City Council Member Steve Gehrtz have submitted notices resigning their City Council seats. Mr. Gehrtz citing business demands and Mr. Paulsen citing incompatibility with his new employment.
The City of Moorhead will hold a special election to fill both vacant seats on Tuesday, November 5, 2019. The successful candidate for each ward seat will serve through the remainder of the term (December 31, 2020).
