The Moorhead Police Department is conducting a missing person investigation. Dystynee Avery, age 19, of Moorhead, MN, was last seen in south Moorhead on April 3, 2020. The investigation has focused on the area of the 1300 block of 28th Ave S.

The investigation led to the belief that foul play was involved. Ethan Broad, age 27, of Moorhead, MN, is currently in custody at the Clay County Jail on suspicion of 2nd Degree Murder. There is no threat or danger to the public.

The Moorhead Police Department is being assisted by the MN Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Clay County Sheriff's Office. No further information is available at this time. The investigation is still ongoing.
