Property Assessment Reviews in Moorhead Neighborhoods
The City of Moorhead Assessor's office will be conducting property reviews of residential properties in the upcoming weeks. Staff will be working in the following subdivisions:
- Northside Development
- 2nd Northside Development
- 3rd Northside Development
- Possehls 2nd Addition
- Bridgeview Pointe 1st Addition
- Bridgeview Pointe 2nd Addition
- Original Homestead 1st Addition
Affected areas will also receive a mailed notice.
The State of Minnesota requires cities to review properties every five years to ensure the Assessor’s Office has current and accurate information for use in valuation. Due to current COVID-19 social distancing guidelines, an appraiser will view and photograph building exteriors only, and will not be knocking on doors to request an interior inspection as in the past. Appraisers will carry City identification, but will avoid interaction with residents in order to maintain the safety and health of city staff and residents.
If you would like to confirm any data regarding the interior of your home in lieu of a physical interior inspection, please call the Assessor’s Office at 218.299.5344. If there are significant discrepancies, interior photos may be requested to confirm the condition and finish of the interior of the property. Please call us with any questions you may have.
