The City of Moorhead is responsible for reviewing, permitting and inspecting regulated building, plumbing, and mechanical construction and remodeling within the City of Moorhead. The State of Minnesota regulates electrical work within the City of Moorhead.

What is the Building Code?

Minnesota has adopted construction codes that regulate construction across the state, including Moorhead, to ensure a minimum level of quality and safety in buildings.  You may view code books or fact sheets, or order code books for purchase through Minnesota Department of Labor & Industry:
