Revised FEMA 100-year floodplain Map
This tool is an interactive GIS map displaying the revised FEMA 100-year and 500-year floodplains. City residents can search by property address to view and print a detailed map showing how the revised 100-year floodplain (SFHA) may affect their property and any structures on the property. Please note: when a Letter of Map Amendment (LOMA) or Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) is issued by FEMA, the official Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) is not revised even though the property or structure has been removed from the FEMA 100-year floodplain by the LOMA or LOMR.

Legend for FEMA Floodplain Map:
1% Chance of Annual Flooding - Zone AE (100-year floodplain)
0.2% Chance of Annual Flooding - Zone X (500-year floodplain)

Flood Stage Information
This map differs from the FIRM (or floodplain map) in that it interactively displays Red River flood stage inundation areas in 1/2 foot stages up to 43.5 feet. Reports provide the river flood stage that may affect properties and structures in the City of Moorhead and Oakport.

The transparent blue areas of flooding for each river flood stage were created from elevation data acquired in May of 2008 and do not reflect flood mitigation projects completed in or after 2008 or temporary emergency flood measures during major flood events.
