Traffic Alert: 8 St to be closed between 2 Av N and Center Ave
Starting Tuesday, October 25, portions of 8 St N will be closed for a brick sewer re-lining project. Also, several blocks of 8 St N and Center Ave will have one lane of traffic in each direction:
- 8 St will be closed between 2 Ave N and Center Ave, however the intersection of 8 St N and 1 Ave N will allow east/west traffic
- 8 St from Center Ave to Main Ave will have one lane of traffic in each direction
- Center Ave between 8 St and 9 St will also have one lane of traffic in each direction
Drivers should expect delays in the area and find alternate routes, if possible. Trucks will be required to detour on Main Ave to 11 St N; for all other vehicles, 11 St N will be the best alternate route. This work is expected to last approximately 1 month, weather permitting.
