Moorhead Police Respond to Stabbing

On Monday, March 20, 2023, at approximately 4:40 p.m., officers responded to the 3000 block of 18 Street South for a reported stabbing. Upon arrival, officers found a conscious male victim with multiple stab wounds to his arms and legs. The victim was transported to Sanford Health by ambulance. The victim is believed to have non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is an acquaintance of the victim, and the incident occurred inside an apartment. The suspect has not been identified and is described as a Native American male in his 20s wearing black clothing. The weapon, described as a hunting knife, has not been recovered. The suspect left the scene before the arrival of first responders.

The incident is under investigation. Anyone with information should contact the Red River Regional Dispatch Center at 701.451.7660 and ask to speak to a Moorhead Police Supervisor.
