On Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at approximately 12:30 a.m., officers were dispatched for a report of a missing person. While searching the area where the missing person was possibly located, her body was discovered along the Red River. The deceased will be transported to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.
The investigation is still very active. Witnesses are being interviewed, and evidence is being collected. No suspect is currently in custody. The Moorhead Police Department is assisted by the Moorhead Fire Department, the Clay County Sheriff's Office, the MN Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, the Fargo Police Department, the Cass County Sheriff's Office, and the Metro Street Crimes Unit.
