On August 29, 2023 at approximately 12:58 am, The City of Moorhead Police Department was informed that a suspected stolen vehicle was entering the city after it failed to stop for The Fargo Police Department. Officers were in the area and located the vehicle near Main Avenue and 4 Street. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but it fled from them. A motor vehicle pursuit ensued and was discontinued near 1 Avenue North and 17 Street North due to the suspect vehicle speeds.
Officers monitored the vehicle from a distance and later located it abandoned in the 1000 block of 4 Avenue South. A perimeter of officers was established in the area and a Clay County Sheriff’s Office Deputy with his K9 partner was requested to assist. With the assistance of the K9, two individuals were located hiding in the area and were arrested. Felix Wallette III (33) of Fargo was arrested for Possession of Stolen Property, Fleeing in a Motor Vehicle and Fleeing on Foot. Krystle Landa (33) of Fargo was arrested for Fleeing on Foot and an outstanding warrant.
The vehicle was confirmed to be stolen and suspected narcotics were located in the vehicle. The investigation is on-going and additional criminal charges may be pursued.
