Halloween Events

Pumpkin Party Pick-Up
Thursday, October 17, 3:30-5:30 pm

250 pumpkin gourds and even more goodie bags were given away in just a little more than an hour in 2023!

1. With a parent or guardian, kids ages 12 and under can pick up a pumpkin gourd and paint kit at Viking Ship Park between 3:30 and 5:30 pm on Thursday, October 17.
2. Take the pumpkin home and paint your creation!
3. Take a photo of you in your costume with your masterpiece. 
4. Submit name, age and a photo of the artist in costume with their masterpiece to parkandrec@moorheadmn.gov for a chance to win great prizes. Winners are announced on Halloween! (YOU CAN STILL DO THIS, EVEN IF YOU MISS OUT ON PICKING UP A PUMPKIN AT THE PARK!) Winners will be announced on Halloween. 

Trunk or Treat
Thursday, October 31, 5-7 pm

We are joining in with MSUM's Trunk or Treat! Enjoy an evening of trick-or-treating through MSUM's G-1 Parking lot (behind the Wellness Center). All ghouls, witches and zombies are welcome! Additional activities will be available.
