Curbside Yard Waste Collection Begins Monday, April 15

Post Date:04/08/2024 9:00 am

For your convenience, the City of Moorhead picks up yard waste curbside every week starting Monday April 15 and continuing through November 22, depending on weather. Yard waste will be picked up on your garbage collection day.

Yard waste (leaves, grass clippings, and garden/flowerbed waste) is collected at the curb and must be in compostable or paper bags, or reusable containers (not to exceed 32 gallons or 30 lbs) for curbside yard waste collection. Yard waste in plastic bags will not be collected.

The City collects yard waste and processes it into compost, free to Clay County residents. For more information or to check the availability of finished compost, please call 218.979.9516.

Residents may also use one of our drop-off sites:

  • Woodlawn Point
    418 Elm St
  • Public Works Facility
    700 15 Ave N
  • Compost Site
    1800 Hwy 75 N
  • Southside Location
Northwest corner of Parkview Drive and 23 St S

Please empty your bags at the locations. No branches allowed.

Thank you for recycling and composting to reduce material sent to the landfill.

If you have questions, please call the Public Works Department at 218.299.5422.
