Moorhead Police Officers assigned to the Red River Valley Drug Task Force, with significant coordination and assistance with officers from Minnesota’s West Central Drug Task Force and Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force, arrested LAWRENCE KENT BRINK (34 year old from Dilworth) and ALEXANDER JAY JARES (36 year old from St. Cloud, MN) in St. Cloud on Wednesday afternoon without incident. Brink traveled from Moorhead to St. Cloud to pick up a large amount of marijuana at Alexander Jare’s residence. A traffic stop on Mr. Brink’s vehicle resulted in a seizure of marijuana and the execution of a narcotics search warrant at the Jare’s residence. Brink and Jares were taken into custody and transported to the Sherburne County Jail on Felony Controlled Substance charges.
The following property was seized:
- 19 pounds of Marijuana
- 6 handguns
- $17,000 cash
These arrests are a direct result of the on-going narcotics investigations that these subjects have continued to remain active in. Lawrence Brink was arrested on March 6, 2013 and April 2
nd, 2014 at his Dilworth residence for involvement in other very large narcotic trafficking cases
